DaCapo College is located in Sittard in the Netherlands and offers all forms of vocational education.
The new central building of the educational institution, which previously had to use several buildings and locations throughout the city, is located in the former Zuyd University of Applied Sciences complex.
Four of DaCapo College's six campuses have moved in here. The 8,000-square-foot renovation and 2,900-square-foot new building were designed by Sittard architects Povse and Timmermans and cost around 19 million euros. Today, the site has more than 1100 students.
Fibershield®-HC fire curtains from STÖBICH were used for the interior finishing of the building. The horizontal closure preserved light spaces in the atrium, ensuring optimum use of daylight. With their discreet integration into the building structure, the fire protection closures of textile design ensure an almost invisible overall impression - with safety.
