In the House of the Sea, visitors immerse themselves in fascinating underwater worlds. The Society for Marine Biology, founded in 1957, has evolved into a state-of-the-art Aqua Terra Zoo, housed in a very special location: a former World War II flak tower in Esterházy Park.
On 11 floors and an area of about 5,000 m², a total of more than 10,000 animals cavort: Sharks, rays, turtles on water and on land, crocodiles, lizards of all kinds, snakes, fish from fresh and salt water, birds, flying foxes, various monkeys and numerous insects. Highlights include the 300,000-liter two-story shark tank and the surf reef with its colorful tropical fish.
In this colorful paradise, economical Fibershield®-E fire protection curtains from STÖBICH provide the necessary safety in case of fire without being visually obtrusive. So nothing stands in the way of an eventful visit to HDM.
