      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

Trainee program at the STÖBICH Academy

Being able to train yourself is a privilege. STÖBICH not only offers a wide range of apprenticeships in exciting technical and commercial occupations: in Goslar, we also have the STÖBICH Academy for internal and external training.

News from the STÖBICH Academy: Some time ago, we provided intensive training to our apprentices from various professions (mechatronics engineers, business people and product designers) and years of apprenticeship in the basics and functions of ➥ conveyor system terminations. Despite their different fields of specialization, this was not a problem – on the contrary: the trainees complemented each other perfectly and learned from each other.
After successfully assembling two ➥ GCCs, they worked in group presentations on the technical assembly steps, the safety check and the quality assurance methods. This group work was then presented confidently and competently to the entire team, impressively underlining their expertise.
Such training courses not only promote cohesion among the trainees, but also the exchange between departments. This intensive insight will help them to better understand the work of other departments in the future.
