      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

VdS-BrandSchutzTage 2024 in Cologne

On December 4 and 5, 2024, the VdS-BrandSchutzTage will take place at the Cologne Exhibition Centre – one of the largest trade events for preventive fire protection. More than 150 exhibitors will be presenting modern fire protection solutions, including a special area on “150 years of sprinklers”. Live demonstrations and hands-on activities, such as testing a high-pressure wall hydrant, make technology come alive. STÖBICH and PROTEC-24 await the public at Stand B-11 in Hall 10.1 with innovative textile fire protection solutions that can be integrated almost invisibly into new and existing buildings, along with the appropriate service. As a special highlight, the heat-insulating fire protection curtain Fibershield®-I will be presented. The service professionals from PROTEC-24 will also be on site to provide information on the maintenance, servicing and modernization of fire protection systems.
